Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Pena

This small sanctuary, built on top of the Pena hill, overlooks the valley of the river Coura with its patchwork of agricultural fields and the town of Paredes de Coura. It is a simple place between impressive boulders, surrounded by abundant trees, with asmall 18th century chapel surrounded by the churchyard and various facilities, from the picnic park to the belvedere, at 556 metres above sea level.
