Paço de Calheiros
The estate’s origin is linked to the institution of the Honour of Calheiros, in 1336, granted by king D. Dinis. The estate is nestled in the middle of the slope, with the house standing out in the landscape with its two towers, a wide view over the town, the Lima valley and, in the distance, the sea. The house is accessed by a long tree-lined terrace. Surrounded by terraces, the boxwood garden is in front of the house, followed by vegetable gardens, fountains, vineyards and a woodland thicket.
